A legitimate certificate of analysis confirms that a sample was tested and what the results were. It does not confirm that the physical inventory being sold today came from that tested batch.

01 — Authenticated Testing
Laboratory results, permanently bound to the batch they describe.
When a laboratory issues a certificate, TrueProof fingerprints the document and associates it with the tested batch record. The fingerprint travels with the batch for the life of the inventory.
Any later copy can be checked against the original. A COA that has been altered, reused or attached to a different batch will not verify.

Verified inventory can never exceed the quantity that was recorded.
Every batch begins with a recorded quantity. Ownership transfers draw down from that balance, and the ledger has to reconcile at every step.
If a batch was recorded at 10,000 units, no more than 10,000 units can ever be presented as verified — regardless of how many hands the product passes through.
