Verification standard
What a TrueProof status establishes.
Every status describes a specific record, confirmation or permission. It is not a blanket claim about the product.
Definitions
Verification and visibility
The public record displays only fields authorized for disclosure. A verified fact can remain private without losing its verification status.
- Laboratory Verified
- The named laboratory has confirmed its association with the testing record shown for the batch.
- COA Authenticated
- The certificate of analysis has been associated with the batch and fingerprinted so later document alteration can be detected.
- Manufacturing Origin Verified
- The authorized manufacturing party has confirmed the origin record represented for the batch. Public visibility depends on the field permissions set by the record owner.
- Chain of Custody Verified
- Recorded ownership events form a continuous accepted transfer history from the batch record to the current verified holder.
- Quantity Accounted For
- Current verified holdings and completed transfers reconcile to the original quantity recorded for the batch without exceeding it.
- Source Confidential
- A source record exists but its identity and details are withheld from the current viewer.
- Verified but Private
- The underlying information has been verified, while its identifying details remain restricted by the authorized visibility settings.
- Public
- The record owner has authorized the field to appear on the public verification record.
Claim limitations
What TrueProof does not claim
A TrueProof verification does not, by itself, establish that a product is safe, effective, FDA approved, pharmaceutical grade, compliant, sterile or suitable for human use.
TrueProof does not independently certify product safety, efficacy, regulatory compliance, identity, purity or intended use unless that specific fact has been verified through the appropriate authorized party and is expressly shown on the record.
Verification applies only to the records and relationships identified by each displayed status. Viewers should read the full record and any available source documents before relying on it.
